Jarrod Bowen jokes he won't be gaming on FIFA 23 after vile finger injury
Jarrod Bowen's girlfriend Dani Dyer might have got what she wished for after a sickening injury to the West Ham star's fingers ruled him out of playing FIFA 23.
The Hammers have started the season poorly but claimed their second victory in the Premier League on Saturday after a 2-0 win over Wolves. It has lifted them out of the relegation zone while Gianluca Scamacca grabbed his first goal.
Making sure of the result was Bowen, scoring his first of the season as well in the process. But his afternoon turned ugly when he dislocated his finger during the contest with images of the injury going viral.
Bowen posted a picture of the puke-inducing problem to his Instagram story with the caption "No FIFA tonight" accompanied with a crying emoji.
While the England international might have gone through some serious pain, someone somewhere might be secretly quite happy as a result.
It was only a few days before when Bowen's girlfriend Dani was left shunned in favour of the EA Sports game, that was released on Friday.

On her TikTok account, the former Love Island contestant posted a video of herself looking less than pleased while her better half sat engrossed on FIFA 23 while donning a gaming headset.
“So excited to see my boyfriend,” she had captioned the post. “But Fifa 23 had other plans for me.”
But Bowen's mangled hand means no more FIFA and more time with his girlfriend, who is also the daughter of TV star Danny Dyer. Any more TikTok videos and Bowen might have got an unwelcome call, so this could be a blessing in disguise.

Meanwhile, David Moyes has insisted that Bowen is assured of a spot in the England squad this winter ahead of the World Cup. The former Hull star was called up over the itnernational break but did not play a single minute against Italy or Germany.
“I told him that if he scores five or six goals he’ll be on that aeroplane,” the Scotsman said. “Today was a typical Jarrod Bowen goal. That was more like Jarrod.”
